ERA International Gravure Days

At the ERA International Gravure Days, members and non-members meet for a conference on the development of the gravure process and its markets. Apart from technical matters, participants also discuss socio-economic issues related to the printing industry. The Management Meeting (General Assembly of the members) also takes place during the conference.

The ERA International Gravure Days are held every year in September/October and is available to ERA members and non-members.

ERA ProGravure Meeting

At the ERA ProGravure meeting, members from the whole supply chain have the opportunity to get together on an informal platform to exchange and discuss the latest developments affecting the gravure industry.

The ERA ProGravure meeting takes place several times a year and is available to ERA members in German and English.

ERA Talks Factory

ERA Talks Factory is a unique event series designed to bring together industry experts in a casual, “regulars’ table” setting. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals to exchange ideas, gain new insights, and explore practical applications through both presentations and hands-on experiences.

ERA Talks Factory events are free of charge and exclusive to ERA members.

Basic Gravure Seminar

This seminar by ERA and the Media Faculty of Stuttgart University (Hochschule der Medien, HdM) provides an overview of the gravure process in three days. Training will be given using the new Rotomec gravure press at the HdM.

Participants are limited to 10 per course, allowing for hands-on experience in the practical sessions. The seminar is best suited for newcomers to the industry from technical, managerial or sales departments. It does not aim to produce fully trained press operators.

The ERA Basic Gravure Seminar is offered several times a year and is available to ERA members and non-members in German and English.

Color Day

This workshop is designed for technical staff involved in gravure printing across the production chain, offering valuable insights for improving color management practices. Additionally, managers seeking a comprehensive understanding of the future trends in gravure printing are encouraged to participate and gain strategic insights into optimizing printing processes for enhanced efficiency and quality.

The seminar is best suited for employees from gravure production and supply chains needing a general overview of the process.

The Color Day by GMG Academy is offered standalone and in combination with the ERA Basic Gravure Seminar and is available to ERA members and non-members in English.

Sustainability Workshop

This workshop by ERA and the University of Applied Sciences in Leipzig (HTWK, Leipzig) give a detailed insight into sustainability in packaging printing.

Participants are limited to 10 per workshop, allowing for hands-on experience in the practical sessions. The workshop is best suited for everyone in the packaging industry interested in sustainability.

The Sustainability in Packaging Technology Workshops are available to ERA members and non-members in German or English.

Special Webinars

Throughout the year, ERA collaborates with its partners to deliver webinars on a wide range of industry-relevant topics ranging from sustainable practices and circular economy principles as well as the future of electronic production and advances in printed electronics and sensors.

Special Webinars are available to ERA members for free.

Customized Company Seminar

ERA and the Media Faculty of Stuttgart University (Hochschule der Medien, HdM) offer seminars that can be customized to the specific needs of a company. The seminars can be composed of the following topics: Making of gravure print forms, Influencing factors in gravure printing, Colour and colour measurement techniques with a focus on rotogravure.

Participants are limited to 10 per course, allowing for hands-on experience in the practical sessions. The courses are best suited for employees from technical, managerial or sales departments with a profound knowledge of gravure printing.

Customized Company Seminars are available to ERA members in German and English.

ERA Gravure News

The ERA magazine Gravure News includes reports about events, trends and technical developments, as well as company reports and socio-economic issues concerning the gravure industry.

Gravure News is published at least once a year with a print run of 2000 copies and distributed to the gravure community worldwide. Ad placements are available to ERA members and non-members.

ERA Cylinder Overview

ERA has introduced the “Cylinder Overview” initiative, a dynamic approach to collaborative data sharing and analysis within the gravure printing industry. This new step aligns with our mission to drive innovation and industry development. Participating companies, including 4Packaging, Bak Gravür, Coveris, Constantia Hueck, Huhtamaki, ICR S.p.A., Saueressig, SWG, Janoschka and Hatzopoulos, contribute monthly data on gravure and embossing cylinders, enhancing insights and fostering informed decision-making across Europe and Turkey.

Cylinder Overview is only available to participating ERA members.

ERA International Gravure Award

The ERA International Gravure Award is the opportunity for all participants in the production chain to present gravure quality in gravure printing. The award promotes gravure as the key printing process for packaging and decorative products and encourages and recognizes technical innovation as well as notable achievements in gravure production technology.

Applications for the ERA International Gravure Award are open to ERA members and non-members worldwide.
