Walstead Group has announced to invest in a MAN Lithoman IIIS short-grain web offset press at its Eurohueco plant in Barcelona …

…The press has a maximum width of 198 cm and an 89 cm cut-off. Its folder is equipped with two formers, four stitchers, 10 gluing heads, and two complete delivery lines. The speed is expected to be up to 70,000 revolutions per hour. This investment is the first step of a strategic plan to diversify Eurohueco’s technological capabilities which will become of the few plants in Europe offering gravure and web offset. Eurohueco operates four gravure presses with a web width of 2,70 m. Walstead Iberia CEO Jose Maria Camacho commented: “This investment means Eurohueco will operate a unique press in the southern European market and it is the start of the plant’s transformation into a hybrid technology printing site that will allow us to serve the increasingly complex and changing needs of our customers in the short, medium and long term.”
